Not Just Pencils!

I marvelled at the talents that God has given us, and how we can glorify and give thanks to Him!

Take a look at these pictures, and read the words at the end of the post.

A pencil maker told the pencil 5 important lessons, just before putting it in the box,

1.  Everything you do will always leave a mark.

2. You can always correct the mistakes you make.

3. What is important is what is inside you.

4. In life, you will undergo painful sharpenings,
which will only make you better.

5. To be the best pencil, you must allow yourself
to be held and guided by the hand that holds you.

We all need to be constantly sharpened.

It is hoped that this little illustration may encourage us to know that we are all special persons, each with unique God-given talents and abilities. Only we can fulfill the purpose which we were born to accomplish.

We must never allow ourselves to get discouraged and think that our lives are insignificant and cannot be changed. Like the pencil, we must always remember that the most important part of who we are is what is inside us and then allow ourselves to be guided by the Hand of God.

The vessel . . . was marred . . . so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make.  (Jeremiah 18:4)
I do not understand, Lord,
But one day I will see
Your loving Hand was taking pains
To mould and fashion me.
