Grad Night, 19th Nov

Theme: "Lights, Camera, Action"
Venue : Carlton Hotel

The graduating classes of Sec 4/Sec 5 had been waiting for this day to celebrate their last event before they finally leave PHS, with the exception of returning to school to collect their results.

The students came dressed in their best, evening wear, high heels, coat, ties.  Some even came in costumes.  Some teachers came in their evening wear too - some even went to the hair salon to do their hair for this occasion.

The Alumni put in a lot of effort in decorating the stage, simulating the Oscars award night - with the black and white checkered back-drop.  Impressive.  They even sponsored an Ipad mini, as one of the lucky draw prizes!  What a generous gesture!

A touch of glamour was indeed evident on this night.

Annual Staff Dinner, 16th Nov 2012

 

Venue : ParkRoyal, Beach Road

Theme : "Date with The Royals"

 

PSG was treated to a sumptuous dinner during the Annual Staff Dinner.

It was a night where teachers, Admin Staff, VPs and Principal could have fun.  As per the theme, some teachers came dressed as "Royals".  Even the Master and Mistress of Ceremony were dressed according to the theme.

End-of-Year Gathering, 9th Nov 2012

Venue : NUOVO Condominium

Some parents came to join us for our PSG annual End of Year Gathering. 

It was a simple affair - just sitting down, eating and getting to know each other.  PSG was happy to meet the parents, who have taken time off to participate in PSG/school activities in 2012.  We would have loved to see more parents but many were unable due to various reasons.

PSG Exco gave tokens of their appreciation to Ang, Jenny and Celia as they will leave PSG Exco next year, as their children have graduated from PHS.  A short prayer was said by Amos Wee (VP-PHS), blessing each of them for their service in PSG Exco.

However, as Mr Wee added, there is also a PSG-Alumni, which welcomes parents who are enthusiastic in continuing their service after their children have graduated.

PHS Open House, 20th Oct 2012

Saturday, 20th Oct was Open House at PHS.
Time 9am - 4pm

Many parents came to "check out" PHS.  Some children were still in Pri 5!  These parents came a year early to source out the prospective schools and to have an idea of the choice of schools, a year before their kids sit for their PSLE!  Talk about early planning!

 

PSG took turns to tend to our assigned booth.  Three parents in the morning and 2 in the afternoon.

 

We were prepared to answer questions on how we felt about PHS - the teachers, the school curriculum, values of the school. etc.  We just shared our experiences and the difficulties faced by our kids while in school.
